Description: This is a report of Engineer activities in the European Theater of Operations from its inception to VE-Day. In selecting the material for this report the purpose has been to record the lessons from the mistakes and successes in Engineer matters from the experiences in one theater of operations of World War II for the benefit of those who may in the future be confronted with similar problems or who may be concerned with the development of Engineer doctrine. It is not intended to be a complete history of the Engineer aspect of operations in the European Theater.
